ZING Mobile Raises $13 Million For Wireless Consumer Gadget Technology

ZING Systems Inc. announced on 30th January 2007 that it has raised $13 million through additional funding. The funding was raised in a round that was conducted by IDG Ventures in Boston. Redpoint Ventures earlier conducted ZING’s financial rounds also joined IDG Ventures Boston. Camp Ventures, a Venture Capital firm also funded the new round. ZING has tied up with several other top notch companies like SIRIUS Satellite Radio and SanDisk to revolutionize user experience by creating a new variety of portable entertainment players.

ZING is a mobile entertainment technology and services company. It is based in Mountain View, CA and was founded by an exceptional team of experienced mobile digital media engineers and professionals. ZING is a premium company set up to provide the required technology, software and services and bring forth the wireless phenomena to ensure an exceptional user experience in the field of entertainment. Portable music players that are based on the ZING technology have an enhanced ability to connect, download and manage and exchange data straightaway from the player through wireless technologies without the need of a computer. ZING also has the technology to support mobile wireless player implementations of leading companies such as live digital broadcasts, Internet radio, and Internet community applications. Zing also has major plans to power a new generation of all in one mobile digital devices.

The foremost devices that are based on the ZING Mobile Entertainment Engine includes the ‘Stiletto’ a wearable satellite radio player from Sirius Satellite Radio. Another one is the Sansaconnect from San Disk, a wifi connected MP3 playerwhich also won the best of CES this year.
